We are thrilled to receive the following awards for the 37th Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest sponsored by the Songwriters’ Association of Washington:
“Hidin’ in the Hills of Tennessee” was chosen for the Finalist award for the Country/Bluegrass category
“Best Man” was chosen for the Honorable Mention for the Country/Bluegrass category
“Sweet Music” was chosen for the Honorable Mention for the Lyrics Only category

We are honored to be named a finalist in two categories of the 21st Annual Great American Song Contest. “Radio Flyer” was included in the Country category, and “Way Back When” in the Lyric Writing category. It is a wonderful recognition to receive for these tunes.

Proud to have won First Place in the Lyric category for “Kissed An Angel Carved In Stone.” Thanks to the Great American Song Contest for this honor!
T. Edwin and Jon Carroll were selected by the judges at the Great American Song Contest as one of the top 5 Winners in the Christian/Gospel category for “He Did His Best Work on Wood.”
Judges praised “He Did His Best Work On Wood” for its “highly original and deeply moving lyric” and “beautifully designed melodic composition.”
It is an honor to receive this award from this prestigious songwriting competition. This is the second award for this song. You can view the contest results here.
T. Edwin’s song “Jesse Brown” was chosen as the Grand Prize Winner in the 2015 Dallas Songwriters competition. A wonderful piece by Judge Roy Elkins was posted on the blog along with the announcements:

T. Edwin was thrilled to received a first place win in the Dallas Songwriter’s Contest in the Country Category for “My Shine” based on a true story of his sweet dog. The song was recorded in Nashville at Larry Beaird’s studio. T. said it’s fitting that such a loving dog can still be making friends through this tune.
I’m thrilled to announce that “Gonna Be a Blue Elvis Christmas” was the First Place winner in the Special category of the 15th Annual Great American Song Contest! Judged by industry pro’s it is a great honor.
In addition, “I Want To Hear You Laugh” scored in the top 5 in the Lyric writing category.
The T. Edwin Doss website and song will be featured on this year’s GASC Hall of Fame.
T. Edwin has been fortunate to receive several GASC Awards in the past few years, this year’s win is exceptionally sweet!
